Faux pic's

This was a custom table for Ransome Van Syoc Interior Decorators.  The basic idea was presented to me.  I custom designed and made the stensils for the gold borders and the leapard print.  I hand drew the flowers based on the owners old table, which had one grouping instead of three.  The colors were inspired by the fabrics going into the room.

This faux was a logistical process.  The actual effect was rather easy to achieve, but laying out the pattern, snapping the lines...the architecture of it all...was indeed an involved process.  Everyone thought the result was well worth the effort. What do you think?

This is a recent creation.  I'm developing a company logo I can have made into a sign for my yard and incorporate into my cards, t-shirt's, etc...  It's not faux, but an example of artistic ability and something I'm looking for feedback on before I make it permanent.  Thoughts?  Constructive criticism....mmmmm?

These are good examples washes (left) and glazes (right).  These were done in the same home.  I did the wash two years ago and recently went back to do the glaze in an addition. The color contrast might be a sign of the times.  Darker, bold colors are very popular now.  Terra Cotta's, dark browns,  red's...earth based colors.  Check out BenMoore's new AFFINITY colors if these bolder colors appeal to you.

This is a deep texture marble glaze.  We were shooting for a real feeling of depth and texture while bringing in the color of the tile without having it take over the room.  Something of a fortress of solitude as the walls appear stone but still convey warmth and luxury.
